Give to the Scholarship Fund.
Offering access to instruction that makes an impact requires scholarships for students. The Scholarship Fund attracts prospective students join our community of biblical scholarship and sustains students in their studies at TSBC. The environmental scan of our strategic plan showed that offering access to biblical higher education without scholarships and grants is an invitation to debt. When you give to the Scholarship Fund at TSBC, you are championing the future shepherds, servants, stewards, and scholars of the church. In 2022–2023, we celebrated an answered prayer – no student borrowed money to pay for their education at TSBC. God answered this prayer through generous donors who caught the vision for offering biblical and theological education in Appalachia and Akron in the financial realities that our students face. In 2020, strategic planning revealed that an invitation to study at TSBC was also an invitation to borrow money, based on the data concerning the typical household incomes of our students.
We are pleased that we have started the 2023–2024 academic year the same way; however, as you can see in the chart above, we will not be able to maintain this incredible opportunity to our students for very much longer unless our financial partners respond to our scholarship needs. Scholarships are very important in our efforts to recruit students. We have a brand new Master’s cohort starting this fall because we were able to provide scholarships to entering students. Each TSBC scholarship has a story. Why don’t you become part of that story today?
